Tatiana Height

Tatiana Height is a Native of Chicago, IL but has lived in 9 U.S. states. She has two dogs and a cat and enjoys doing karaoke in her spare time. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) with a major in Great Plains Studies and minors in Environmental Studies, Agribusiness Entrepreneurship, and Community & Regional Planning. She went on to work in recruitment, first as a Volunteer Manager and then as an Admissions Counselor before receiving a Master of Community & Regional Planning degree from UNL. Beyond her recruitment experience, Tatiana has three years of experience as a city planner and seven years of experience as an environmental educator. Tatiana moved to North Carolina in December 2017 and began doctoral studies at North Carolina State University in August 2018 where her dissertation focuses on using culturally relevant outdoor education programs as a means of empowering urban Black youth to be change agents in their communities. Since being in North Carolina, Tatiana has been an active member of the North Carolina Environmental Justice Network and a committee member for the young professionals group of the North Carolina Chapter of the American Planning Association.
